Inside it is clean and mostly furnished, ready to move into, outside has a large garden which needs work but once produced masses of fruit and veg. This is really a get away from it all cottage but with the advantage of a supermarket 10 mins away. You can grow your own food here, keep livestock, anything, its up to you. Theres about 1700m2 of land

The internal living space of approximately 180m2 is laid out over three full floors. Access to the ground floor is through either the front door or a side door. The ground floor consists of entrance hall with wooden staircase to the first floor, shower-room, kitchen/diner, large lounge / dining-room with access out on to the decked veranda overlooking the rear garden and woodlands.

Surveyors have already completed the energy survey for this property and it has been paid for by the present owners accordingly. Of course, a copy will be available for the new owners.

Outside, there is driveway parking for approx. 6 vehicles leading down to outbuildings. Total area about 1500 m2. There is also a building comprising garage and three separate storage sheds with electricity supply. Woodlands is situated at the end of a small road with only five other properties - the road ends shortly after the property so there is no passing traffic. Its very quiet.There are neighbours on one side of the property and across the road whom we have found to be friendly, helpful and charming although it is rare that we ever see them – they respect the privacy of others. However, they have been helpful in keeping an eye on the property when we are not there.

Area Information

The property is situated in the village of Jörn in Skellefteå Kommun, Västerbotten. The house is situated at the end of a small street (of 5 properties) where there is no passing traffic or traffic noise. (Please note that the map facility on this site locates the middle of the village and not the actual location of the property, which is situated as described.) There is ample opportunity to witness the vast array of wildlife that inhabits this area – foxes, otters, elk, arctic fox and numerous species of birds throughout the year, with regular reindeer sightings adjacent to the property during the winter months.

Jörn itself is situated just off the main 95 route running west out of Skellefteå towards Arvidsjaur, and even has its own small quaint railway station with regular services to Stockholm, Luleå, Kiruna, Jokkmokk (very handy for the traditional winter market), etc.

Airports are located at Skellefteå (approx. 50km), Arvidsjaur (approx. 80km) and Lycksele (approx. 70km), all with regular services to Stockholm and elsewhere.

Jörn has a small supermarket, shops, a bank, a garage, chemist, health centre, school, etc. Within four miles of the property, there are summer tourist facilities on the side of Jörntrasket which offers camping, fishing, boating, swimming, etc. The nearest ski resort is less than 20km away at Storklinta, although Skellefteå also has ski facilities and all other amenities associated with a small city. Other nearby urban areas include Boliden (27km), Norsjö (51km), and Myrheden (35km).
