1930'2 restored 3 Bed Semi. NO CHAIN!
|
|
About this 3 - Semi-Detached |
This 1930's restored house has a large and bright lounge, a dining room that opens into the breakfast room, a kitchen, cloakroom, under stair cupboard, family bathroom, good sized front master bedroom, good sized back bedroom, single front bedroom, part boarded loft, front garden with various shrubs, driveway for three cars, garage and back garden with various shrubs, lawn and fruit such as grapes, blackberries and kiwi plants.
This house was built on land owned by the Buller family (Redvers Buller was one of the men in charge of the light brigade) and the original deeds still survive! The house has been restored and has features such as the original fireplaces, serving hatch, French doors that now lead into a breakfast room, a period white cloakroom suite, Mackintosh styled frosting (unique) to some windows, hand made stained glass in three windows, large bay windows at the front, a driveway for three cars, a garage and well stocked gardens. The house has been sympathetically decorated and styled in the 1930's style, it is neutral without being impersonal and it is a good sized house that can accommodate today’s style of living!

Area Information |
| The house is in a quiet avenue which still retains much of its original sense of community. Unless you are looking for the avenue many people do not realise that it is there which means that it is a lovely, fairly un-spoilt place to live. The house is classed as St Thomas, however I believe that it is actually completely different from other parts of St Thomas. It is on the flat and is conveniently situated for the city centre, the playing fields, the River Exe, St Davids train station (All trains going in or out of the South West use this station so you could commute to London if you wished!), the motorway, the Quay (Wonderful for a walk around especially at Christmas), the bus route and the St Thomas shopping centre.
It is central to everything and is a 2 minutes walk to the allotments if you fancy one and the allotments are very cheap. It is quite easy to get to the hospital by bus or car, however if you have a mobility scooter it is quite easy to get to the hospital on that!
The surrounding area is up and coming and has recently seen new development including apartments costing £300K plus. When you see how little space these apartments have it really shows what great value a well built older house is!
