This is a BISF house, a British Iron and Steel Federation house built around 40 years ago, NO, not a prefab, much better. It is virtually maintenance free - no pointing! it is only suspicion by buyers and some lenders that traditionally are anti anything that isn`t made of brick or stone. Yes, you CAN get a normal mortgage - most banks and many building societies do lend on these houses (Halifax, Birmingham Midshires,etc). It is structurally very sound and very well insulated. No sign of damp or rust anywhere ever. A warm, comfortable and sunny home.
It was completely stripped down to the steel (all perfect still) frame in the 1980s and fireproofed, re-roofed, insulated and plastic clad.
