We have lived here for 23 years bringing up 6 children and have enjoyed the village and house immensely. We have extended the house and now it would be considered bottom heavy giving generous proportions for a house of this type. The construction is strong being built with Norfolk reds and pan tile roof. Windows are upvc double glazing and the walls are cavity filled insulation. Heating is by gas via a ultra reliable Baxi Bermuda back boiler which has been serviced every year from new the boiler had new burners installed a few years back so should be fine for many more. The Baxi Bermuda boiler is well known for outlasting most modern boilers which are quite poor quality. 4 ceiling fans are fitted this elps to keep air fresh even when heating is on.
Norfolk Broads are a natural place of beauty and Salhouse has its own broad which is a lovely walk.

| Salhouse Village, and Parish, is on the edge of the Norfolk Broads National Park within the Broadland District of the county of Norfolk in a natural rural setting approximately 6 miles northeast of the city of Norwich. It is partly bounded by the River Bure to the east and the “Bittern Line” railway in the west.
Salhouse Primary VC school has a good reputation with many and is located on Cheney Avenue.
Broadland High School is renowned and one of the best and most respected secondary schools in the area. A free school bus is provided by the council.
