| Property
Description: |
|
The Quinta das Galegas, which building date is unknown, was rebuilt in 1907 by Sr. Dinis, a seaman who passed his whole life in Brazil. Being again in Portugal and looking forward to retire, he choosed this farm as his new home.
Built and thought into the smallest Detail he created an unique ambient in the Region of Lafões. All details he could ever imagine turned reality. From the small stones in the pavement of the front yard, over the sighting-tower at the lake which is decorated with trees drawn into the concrete, to the whole Farm.
As builder of the first bike in town, or the electric generator with pinwheel or the windmill to mill wheat. He was in the hearts of the whole village. We can almost say that he had a vision for the future… When there was a famine he created fish in his lake to feed the whole village. Maybe it´s because of his visions, and way of thinking that this old farm is so modern.
