What a cutie!
This is such a sweet little cottage with such a lot of history behind it that when we visited we instantly fell in love with it! Sitting right in the centre of the village of Lignac, next to the ancient ‘lavoir’ where the village women used to do their washing, it is really at the heart of things. The village has a bar/restaurant, school, bakers, post office, builder’s merchants and small general store. The airport of Limoges is only 50 minutes away and the A20 motorway 15 minutes. Nearby is the beautiful medieval town of St. Benoit du Sault with all its amenities.
The cottage consists of a kitchen with a stone fireplace (20m²) and a room behind (8m²). Upstairs is one large space of 28m² with a new wooden floor, and this would make a nice bedroom and bathroom. Above is a small attic with around 8m² of useable space.
Outside to the front is a pretty enclosed courtyard of 20m², perfect for watching the world go by. There is also a non attached piece of woodland on the edge of the village of 580m².
You won’t be swinging many cats in this little house but it would make a lovely little holiday retreat and you would certainly be part of rural French life and in the heart of the community.
