Antique house in Osor

1. floor – living room with fire-place, dining-room, kitchen, bathroom. 2. floor – two rooms, lodge with coat of arms, an oltar made of stone. 3. floor – two rooms, balcony. 4. floor - loft.

The house was started to build around the year of 1500. It is made of big stone blocks. Above the main entrance and the lodge is a stone slab with coat of arms and a carven sign written on Latin (Lord, look at this treasure earned with diligence) and the year- 1530- MDXXX. The same coat of arms was made on the churchs belfry. First papers of the house date from the year of 1700. At the begining, the house was used by bishop and his clar for living. At the first floor is still an oltar made of stone. When the bishop moved at the bigger rooms on the other side of the square, the house bought some wealthy family. They have opened a Caffe Roma at the ground-floor of the house. Many sailors, shopkeepers, pirats and warriors at that time had find a shelter there. Two oil paintings from the 19th century are drawn on the living room wall - Eruption of Vezuv.
