The possession is situated in the middle of the forest of Poleski National Park, among the nature reserve. Poleski Park are valuable ecosystems, located in the center of the Leczynsko-Wlodawskie Lakeland. Parts of its forests can be considered as tundra-like, which is unique in continental Europe. The property is located in the area, which has been recognized as a one of the 30’s wildest places in Poland (according to Pawel Fabianski’s „Trzydzieści najdzikszych miejsc w Polsce”/ „Thirty wildest places in Poland”, Mulico. Warszawa 2007); moreover, in 2002 the area gained the status of Biosphere Reserve (as West Polesie – see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Biosphere_Reserves_in_Poland).
The total area of land is 80000 sq meters (16000sq m with house + 64000sq m) and it’s covered with forests, fields and three ponds – which are catering place for elks, boars, deers, harts, turtles and many more. Nearby (200m) there is “Lake Długie” – see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polesie_National_Park.
The stylish house is located on the edge of National Park, on little elevation and was designed by the famous polish architect Roman Kuśmierz. It’s in 1/3 house of stone, in 2/3 is made of wood (oaks and pine trees – all well impregnated). The house is protected against the cold, so it’s possibile to live there in winter (huntings). It has 3 levels: a cellar, main level, and first floor bedrooms. The house area is 320 square meters. Basement consists of 5 rooms (one can be adapted for sauna, in second there’s a bread oven, joinery, storage accommodation). On the main floor: hall, kitchen, bedroom, living-room (6m tall) with mezzanine and fireplace, bathroom. The first floor has around 60 sq meters.
The house is a great place if you’re looking for calm and unity with nature. It’s under surveillance of foresters and park services, due to the proximity of Długie Lake.
