Large, log-built house. Constructed from 10-inch-profile pine from the Canadian Rockies.. The wood is cold-grown at altitude and thus more dense and enduring than native pine.Site has mature sycamore and ash in abundance.The house was built in 1997 on c. one acre. There are 6 bedrooms,study,combined kitchen/dining area(basic kitchen...needs re-fitting), 2 bathrooms, large entrance room with "cathedral" ceiling. 40 x 10 foot covered deck to front of house. Wooden floors throughout, except in kitchen/dining room, downstairs bathroom and utility room, which are tiled. In addition, 2 stone outhouses, one a ruin, the other in use as tool shed. Situated in a quiet,wooded area, 1 mile from Craughwell and 16 miles from Galway city centre
