| The nearest towns are Vierzon and historic Bourges.
The village of Foëcy is very well situated for travellers crossing France in any direction; it is easy to find and is convenient for the A71 motorway (but not too close). Unusually for a village of 2000 people there are two competing bakeries and other shops, a doctor, a dentist, a chemist, a bank (HSBC), a garage, a school, a church, a wine-merchant and a railway station. Unlike some, we are not off the beaten track and we receive bookings from the travel guides, from the Internet, and from passing visitors.
Foëcy is in a winemaking region (Quincy, Reuilly, Cheverny, Vouvray, Menetou-Salon, Sancerre) and the castles of the Loire and Berry are very close.
