A stone surround frames the main entrance door leading to the timber panelled entrance vestibule and glazed inner doors to the hall. The rear hall has parquet flooring and timber wainscoting and leads to the downstairs or fifth bedroom, with a utility room off the hall providing laundry facilities including a pulley and space and plumbing for a washing machine with a wc, pedestal sink and an airing cupboard. The hall also leads to an external door to the side and the drive next to the garage. On the other side of the hall the original house had been extended with the extension to the rear on two floors. The lower level now provides an exercise room with home office but could easily be adapted for other uses. The main staircase with timber banister leads to the mid landing with the family bathroom again incorporating reclaimed flooring and timber wainscoting, corner bath and matching wc and sink set within corner unit with cupboards below. The master bedroom lies to the front with great views over the garden to the Cheviot Hills and includes recessed shelved storage, original cornicing and an en-suite bathroom with exposed original floorboards, bath with shower over, wc and pedestal sink. The second bedroom is another double bedroom with a window to the rear and wash hand basin with the third bedroom again a double and a window to the side.  An upstairs sitting room lies to the front again taking advantage of the views with a large bay window, original flooring, high ceilings, and original cornices and features a substantial fireplace in white Portuguese stone.

 

Outside a cobbled drive leads to the former stables which include a double garage with external stores to the side and a floored hay loft over the stables providing a useful children’s play area. Further outside features include a lean to store within the former greenhouse, barbecue and patio area with a summerhouse, large lawn and mature gardens with a fish pond all set within established boundaries. Services are mains electricity, water and drainage and LPG central heating with double-glazing throughout.
