This fabulous property is located in Parekura Bay in the Eastern Bay of Islands. It is 25 kms from the historic village of Russell. The roads are all sealed. The house overlooks an ever-changing view, of estuary and bay. The beach is a short stroll away on a quiet cul-de-sac, and is perfect for swimming, kayaking and small boating. There are deep water mooring areas nearby. Land area is 8110 sq metres. Views are stunning. House needs some minor finishing. Approx 150sq metres floor area. Two storey, 4-5 bedrooms. The beach just below our house has deep swimming at high tide and pipi picking at low tide. The river runs out just in front of us and we keep our 18ft trailer sailor moored securely in the creek, almost at the bottom of the drive! It’s a great place for kayaking, with lots of little creeks to explore. Ideal for little sailboats as well. It’s a very safe place for learners and children. For the more adventurous, it’s only about 3kms across the water to Otehei Bay on Urupukapuka Island. One of the most beautiful places in the Bay. It’s a lot quicker to get out to the Islands from here, than from Russell, Paihia or Opua. There’s a boat-launching ramp just over the hill at Te Uenga Bay. Elliot’s Beach, one of the top East Coast surfing locations, is only 5 kms away. There are many other gorgeous beaches nearby, including Whangamumu harbour, site of the old whaling station.
