Area Information |
| Devil’s Bridge is situated high in the foothills of the Pumlumon mountain range, and the scenery in and around Devil’s Bridge is spectacular in all seasons. The village is world famous for its three bridges, uniquely built one on top of the other. Underneath the river Mynach cascades 300ft down the steep wooded valley to joint the Rheidol River on its way to Aberystwyth. There are numerous walks, bridleways and biking trails in the area. The terminus to the Vale of Rheidol Narrow Gauge Railway is situated in the centre of the village, and trains run from Easter to October, to Aberystywth.
the village benefits from a General Village Store, Post Office, Primary school and Hotel with public bar all within a few minutes walk of the property.
The nearest town of Aberystwyth (12 miles away) is Mid Wales' main seaside resort, an established university town and an important administrative centre at the heart of Cardigan Bay. Aberystwyth is also home to the National Library of Wales
Though it's located within a predominantly rural area, 'Aber' is a surprisingly lively place with a resident population of 12,000 swelled by over 8,000 students for much of the year. Aberystwyth is the largest town in the county of Ceredigion but it still retains a friendly, community feel. This characterful town also enjoys a great variety of pubs, cafes, restaurants and intriguing specialist shops that make it a really rather pleasant place to live or visit. |
