If you are looking for the crowded Portuguese beaches, this isn't the right place to you. This house is located on the least populated region of Portugal.
This house is was a water mill that belonged to the Portuguese Royal Family and has more than 500 years old.
Most of the rebuilding was done having in mind a balance with the environment. I used as far as possible local material and ecological techniques.
The result is a very ecological house.
This house has 1,1 KW on photovoltaic cells (seven panels) connected to the public electricity network and with 20 years warranty. It generates power enough to receive an average profit of 125 euros per month (paid by the national electricity company - EDP).
