For all those who like to take a walk, go fishing or hunting this area is worth a visit. In the following we would like to present you some thermal baths. The health effects of the baths are well known world-wide: Dombóvár - Gunaras: The thermal water supports cure of arthritis and the physical movement. As a mineral cure it cures stomach intestine-bile diseases. The patients of the hospital can take up the physio hydro therapeutic department of the bath. Pécs: Mysterious Roman burial chambers, Turkish dome mosques and slim minaret, artistic Zsolnay ceramics, great Csontváry paintings, decorative Vasarely samples, early blossoming almond trees, pleasant bars and cafés - all this is Pécs, a city year in 2000 with mediterranean atmosphere in the southern spurs of the Mecsek mountains. The way to the panoramic summit of the 525 m high Misina mountain leads through beautiful historic houses with old fashioned narrow alleys. After a walk through the beautiful Mecsek-park forest you can taste the famous grape juices of the region in the vineyards. On the market place there is often a lively turmoil: On every first Friday in the month antiques are offered, at weekends folklore markets and automarkets are announced, on Sundays animal traders are present. The basilica on the cathedral place is considered to be the most high-quality certificate of medieval art in Hungary. A fantastic church with five naves, sculptures and frescoes of celebrated Hungarian masters can be visited. In the side chapels you see vestry expensive art treasures and frescoes of Bertalan Székely and Károly Lotz.
