View Full Version : property bulgaria
The majority of people who are buying property in Bulgaria are looking for holiday/second homes often with a view to retirement in later years.
The town of Pomorie (about 14 500 inhabitants) is situated on a narrow rocky peninsula, jutting out 3,5 km in the Black Sea. In the resort of Pomorie, the shore is low, sandy, with a fully open horizon.
New developments may be purchased 'off plan' direct from the developer. For further details see:

Deskpro 04-25-2005, 11:46 AM Hi Zina
I was actually looking at the possibility of investing in property in Bulgaria. I have read that a new build 3 bed property with a pool would set me back approx £20,000. What my partner and i were looking to investigate is possibily investing anything up to 1 million pounds in securing a stretch of land along the coast, that we could build a number of holiday villas, bars and resturants. Do you know if the land is available and are the prices i read realistic!
Thanks
Terry :)
Hi Despoko,
Investing in Bulgarian properties is really a hot topic recently. Bulgaria has already signed the Bulgaria’s accession treaty with the European Union on 25 April 2005 (yesterday), so I hope the business climate will get better.
The land at the Black sea is still available, despite the intensive building process for the last 2 years. Suppose you know that according the law foreigner (as person) can’t own land in Bulgaria, and a Bulgarian limited liability company must be established (at least until Bulgaria joins EU in 2007).
There are new possibilities for investments lately, as for example The Black Sea Property Fund.

Deskpro 05-10-2005, 02:14 PM Hi Zina,
Thanks for the information. I have taken a note of your details and when my Partner and i are in the position to devote some time on this venture, we wili contact your company with a view to flying out to bulgaria and researching the possibilities and options open to us.
We are keen to invest in Bulgaria, but only if we can secure enough of a coastal frontage. Our main aim is to develop an area large enough to be able to build all the neccessary facilities to support a large development of holiday villas.
On looking at possible figures there could be a budjet of approx 1 to 3million GBP, depending on prices.
Thanks again
Terry ;)
