Hi, i have recently received emails regarding my property from a Mabel Ambuge from Cameroon, he email address is mabelspets@yahoo.co.uk although may use different ones.
Mabel pretend to be interested in buying your house, he/she is very good at scamming but im 2 steps ahead. she said she was coming from cameroon to live in Ireland with her family in August and would make the trip asap. i agreed a date of monday 26th may, she was to transit to france on 23rd night then get a flight to ireland from france.
she emailed me saying she had all the cash with her, then i got an email from an airport in france, tho the name was spelt wrong so this was another slip up.
it said that Mable had been stopped with £520,000.00 on her and i had to confirm that she was coming to buy my house. then Mabel sent an email stating that the airport had stopped her and wont let her use the money and could i send her lawyer some money!!! NOWAY.

I have already made up my mind to be in Ireland on the 24th so i will be traveling from Cameroon this night for France where i will have a transit flight for Ireland.I will arrive northern Ireland on the 23th so that we can view the house on the 24th.I was thinking we already agreed on this earlier.I also want to let you know i am bringing the money alongside so that we can go ahead with signing all necessary documents and then i make payments after we see the house then i can allow the tenants up to june when they move out.I hope you know i will like to move into the house in August.I can assure you iam on my way see you soon.Thanks

I am really very sorry.I have a little delay here at the airport in France and i am not even allowed to get access to the internet or make a call they say for security reasons.I just had to send you this email.They are asking me of some documents which can only be prepared in my country and sent to them.I have contacted my lawyer about this and he is going to try to get them done today but the money he has will not be ok for all the documents.I have sent him virtually everywhere for the money but he cannot get the money also i am a little confused here.I have with me enough money to send to him but they will not allow me use the money either until all documents are cleared for security reasons as they say.Please if you can help my lawyer with some money so that he gets the documents prepared and sent today then i reimburse you as soon as i get to meet you in Ireland.Please again i really count on you for some help.Here is the email of my lawyer and his number.email ngu_chambers@yahoo.com,number 0023775083200 or +23775083200.I already asked him to contact you but i don't know if he did.Thanks for understanding.

I am not finding many threads about Cameroon and scams, but I am sure that the person/persons that contacted me are scammers.

For one thing, it is easy for me to know that it is a scam. :) I read all about scams before I placed my ad. Well, it took a few weeks after lisiting, but I am definately dealing with at least 3 persons claiming to be from Cameroon and wanting more pictures, trying to buy a house for their family, can come to view the property within a few days, will get a local attorney, etc. the list of red flags is too long to get it all in.

I think that the biggest red flag is that the mail goes from perhaps a 4th grade educated person to someone that has finished high school or has taken a very good amount on English classes.

Is it appropriate for me to post the e-mail name and address that they are using and perhaps submit a sample of the mail written to me?

these scams have taken up internet as viruses. you wont believe what all mails i receive daily in my mailbox. they sometimes make me rich with $11 million, or some time they have some $3 million unclaimed amount. i feel good that atleast there is some one who feels that i have money!!!
