| The hamlet of Scart is just outside the friendly vilage of Kildorrery. The village has a number of small shops ranging from general stores to hairdressers. A more extensive selection of shops and restaurants is 10km away in Mitchelstown. For serious shopping Cork city, with its malls and city centre shopping area, is just 40 minutes away by car. North county Cork is very central to a number of major towns and cities in southern Ireland. These include Limerick, Mallow, Tipperary, Clonmel, and Waterford.
