The house is over 120 years old. After buying it in 1989 we renovated it, adding the second bedroom in the loft space, rewired it and renewed the floors. More recently we added a ground floor extension and a ground floor showeroom and toilet. This year the roof slates were replaced. Ideal first home or Holiday home in the small village of Palnackie in South-West Scotland. Palnackie has a village shop, Post office, Tearoom, Pub with Restaurant and a small Primary School. It is 10 minutes from Castle Douglas and still has boats using the Harbour.
