| Burntisland is a picturesque village of some historical significance which lies on the north shore of the Firth of Forth approximately 20 miles from Edinburgh on the East Fife Coastal Trail. The town has a good beach and plenty of leisure facilities including a golf course and also a full range of shops and local primary school. Secondary education is at Balwearie High School in Kirkcaldy, approximately 5 miles away. Burntisland has its own mainline railway station offering excellent services for the commuter to Edinburgh and all the stops on the Fife Circle as well as main line services to Dundee and Aberdeen. |
