Area Information |
| In the award winning Woodlands Estate, in the sought after commuter/market town of Reigate (AKA "The friendly
town at the foot of the downs"), with its excellent reputation for schools (very highly ranked state, church and private), shops and access to London and glorious Surrey countryside.
Woodlands is a 200 yard/two minute walk from the historic Priory Park, formerly home to Henry VIII's wife (sorry, I'll check which one!) and currently undergoing a multi-million lottery funded transformation to include children's play area, cafe, water and skate areas, to complement the existing lake, extensive woodland, cricket/football pitch and imposing old mansion used for the Priory middle school.
Across and adjacent to Priory Park is a large Morrisons supermarket and ample parking for the High Street area,
which excels in restaurants, welcoming pubs and fashion, jewellery and boutique shopping. All major banks are
represented, there is a library and cinema too. Should you need larger shopping centres, these are easily accessible within 5 minutes to 1 hour journeys at Redhill, Crawley, Croydon, Guildford, Kingston, London, Bluewater, Lakeside, Brighton, etc.
To the north of the High Street are the railway station (10 minute walk/5 mins bike from Woodlands) and the beautiful north Downs - walks on Colley/Reigate hill are a must!
Transport links are excellent. A bus stop is within 100 yards of our front door. The M25 is 2 miles to the north, M23 is 3 miles to the northeast, Redhill with further amenities and sports centre is 1 mile to the east, Gatwick airport and a Tesco hypermarket are 6 miles away to the South. Commuting to London takes around 45 minutes by train from Reigate, Brighton and the south coast take around 40 minutes by car. |
