Area Information
There are many blue flag beaches in the area including that of the Mar Menor and La Manga. Playa Flamenca is a 10 minute drive from the apartment and has a large commercial centre called Flamenca Beach plus a shopping centre. La Zenia is also nearby and the area has plenty of bars and restaurants, a go-karting centre and a beautiful beach. Torrevieja is a lively, cultural town with two of the largest marinas in the Mediterranean and has something for everyone. With citizens from many different countries, the town has an array of international restaurants, which gives the town its cosmopolitan feel. Torrevieja is within a 15 minute drive and is surrounded by salt lakes which are home to a variety of wildlife including pink flamingos which are protected within the La Mata nature reserve. The town has many festivals, a large marina, fun fair and a promenade which is bustling from early evening with street artists and stalls, a harbour walk and abundant bars, shops and restaurants.
