Each house has its own plot of land and private garden. The buildings on the estate are just two storeys high (plus roof). The estate is located in a neighbourhood designated for two storey buildings.

| Lozenets is a favorite destination for those familiar with the Bulgarian coast. Wealthy Bulgarians including actresses, singers, politicians and businessmen own villas to the south of the village.
Lozenets was originally formed in 1924, and has been catering to tourists for a long time. Together with the neighbouring towns of Primorsko, Kiten and Tsarevo, it has long been a favourite holiday place for Bulgarians, Czechs, Russians and more recently Scandinavians.
Lozenets has many bars, restaurants and an active nightlife. At just over a mile (1800 metres) from Mekoa Seagarden Resort, it is close enough to be in walking distance, and far enough to allow you a good nights sleep when you return!
Lozenets is in the municipality of Tsarevo, in Burgas province. There are several other villages of the same name around Bulgaria, and a borough of Sofia is also called Lozenets.
Lozenets was named after the many vineyards in the surrounding area. In Bulgarian, the word means "Vineyards". it is often spelt "Lozenetz" or "Lozenec" (there is no standardized translation from Cyrillic to the western alphabet). Likewise Tsarevo may be spelt Tzarevo or Carevo.
Just fifty minutes drive from Bourgas airport, Mekoa Seagarden Resort is located in an area which has long been a favourite of holidaymakers to Bulgaria. Many famous Bulgarians (rock and TV stars, politicians, businessmen) own villas in Lozenets and spend their weekends and summer holidays there. Lozenets is called the Saint Tropez of Bulgaria.
The estate is located on the southern Black Sea coast, south of the Ropotamo Reserve, east of the Strandzha National Park.
It is near Oasis Beach, less than 2km from Lozenets, in the municipality of Tsarevo. The neighbourhood is designated for low density housing. Although a relatively quiet area, there is plenty to do within walking distance, and for a more active nightlife, Lozenets is not far.
The southern coast has the best weather, averaging over ten hours sunshine per day, and just two days with rain per month, for July and August.
The Black Sea Coast is Bulgaria's most valuable tourism asset. Bulgaria has some of the best beaches in Europe - lots of fine sand on the beach, extending far out into the sea. The sea is shallow for a long way out - ideal for children. The water in the Black Sea is less salty than the Mediterranean, leaving you fresh and unsticky after a swim.
The neighbouring village to the north is Kiten in Primorsko municipality, to the south is Tzarevo town, and Ahtopol village. Sozopol town is about 26km north of Lozenetz, the Duyni resort about 16km north. |
