The area is close to old 2nd century roman ruins in the Orastie Mountains, which are just an hour and a half away by car, a 15th century castle in the neighboring city of Hunedoara, 20 minutes away, the Retezat national reservation, with stunning relief and rich and pristine wildlife, two and a half hours away, the Trascau mountain range, with picturesque villages and majestic volcanic relief, and the Geoagiu-Bai spa resort at their foothills, just two hours away by car or train, the Straja sky resort, in the Valcan Mountains, about four hours away by car or train and the old citadel of Deva, built in the pre-roman era and subsequently destroyed, rebuilt and expanded throughout the roman occupation and the middle ages all the way to the 17th century, with a rich history, easy access and stunning view. All of these make this area one of the richest in places to visit in the country, and an ideal place to own a holiday house. |
