Charming and relatively large house with five bedrooms, and a very large veranda for sale. The house is situated in Thouria, a small village north of Kalamata on the Peloponese peninsula in Greece. First floor: Consists of three bedrooms, one kitchen which opens into a roomy living room, bathroom with integrated shower and a wash room. The first floor is 80 square meters. On this level there is also small terrace 6 square meters in size. The floors in the kitchen, living room and bathroom are covered with tiles. The bed rooms and washroom floors are concrete with linoleum cover. Second floor: Two bed rooms and a small hallway leading to the veranda. The second floor is 40 square meters, and has 45 square meter veranda. Approximately 10 square meters of the veranda is covered by roof. All the rooms on the second floor have wooden floors. Total areal of the house is 120 square meters. The yard: There is a yard on the front side of the house, with parking space for one car. A large grape tree gives part of the yard shade which makes it a nice place cool off on warm summer afternoons. The grapes are ripe at the end of July. The house was remodeled in 1994. In this process all the plumbing was changed and adapted to European regular standards. In 2004 the roof was changed and the rooms on the second floor were again remodeled. The house needs renovating in to areas, namely changing of windows and two front doors on the ground floor. We have considered this when it comes to the price of the house, which is considerably lower than what the value has been set to. Thouria is 5 km from the nearest beach and 7 km north of Kalamata city centre, a city with a population of 50 000. Thouria is a family friendly village with a play ground and a school near the market place. There are several restaurants, cafés and small shops around the market place. Here you can find your local butcher, baker and vegetable merchant. The town also has a small super market, pharmacy and a post office. Kalamata is city with a lot to offer. Good shopping, a 5 km beach front with lots restaurants and cafes, and a great night life, are a few of the things this diverse city consists of. There are several different beaches and cultural land marks within a short distance of the property. This district is often visited by Greeks when they go on holiday. It is not however, a place with lots of international tourism that you can find in other parts of Greece. This means that Thouria and Kalamata can offer you an authentic Greek experience where old fashioned tradition is mixed with the modern Greece in development. Thouria is situated in central Peloponese which makes the village a great starting point for trips to famous sites like Sparta, Olympia and Nafplion. The closest airport is Messini airport, only 5 km from Thouria. Driving distance to Athens is approximately 270 km and takes about three hours by car.
