Remote Year Round Cabin Complex On Gambo Pond (Lake) Newfoundland, Canada Remote, but fully serviced large pine two-story barn-style cabin.(20ft x 30 ft) with 4 outbuildings located at water’s edge half-way up beautiful Gambo pond. A small river flows along one side of property. Cabin is of barn-styling with varnished pine-log siding inside and out. Two bedrooms, one large 19 ft x 20 ft overlooking the lake. Smaller bedroom and bathroom also on second floor. Entrance room, glassed in living-room, kitchen, eating area, extension to entrance room and utility room on first floor. Extensive use of glass everywhere. Two 20 ft x 8 ft decks, upper and lower, overlooking the water. Bottom deck has screens when required. Bottom deck also extends 35 additional feet to water’s edge. Services include: excellent dug well, approximately 20ft. deep, hot and cold running water with whole-house filter. Propane fridge, electric hot water boiler and propane lights. House is also wired for both 120 volts and 12 volts. 350 watt wind generator and battery chargers support the 12 volt power pack. A Kabota diesel generator with remote start provides basic power, 120/240 electrical panel. Primary heat is supplied by a wood-stove located in the living room. New septic tank with Jet 120 volt water pump and filter system. Outbuildings include another 20 ft x 30 ft two-story barn, currently utilized as a wood-working shop, but easily convertible to additional living space. Freezer shed is approx. 10 ft x 8 ft with 12 to 18 inch insulated walls. Freezer included. Wood storage areas include a covered 20 ft x 8 ft baby barn and additional 8 ft x 10 ft covered building. Capacity is approx. 14 cords. Generator shed is approx. 8 ft x 10 ft with underground wiring to the house. A Honda 3-wheel bike and wagon is supplied to assist with chores. Furnishings are basic but adequate and are mostly built in pine. Mature birch, aspen and evergreens surround the property. Superb view of sunsets from the front decks. Located approx. halfway from the bottom pond of the Gambo pond complex. The bottom pond is approx. 1 km wide and 14 km long. Access by boat only assures tranquility. Many improvements made over the past year.
