Fes City: Situated in the northern centre point of Morocco, comprising part of the Saïs plain and bordering with the mountain range of Middle-Atlas, the region of Fez - Boulemane came to existence through the 1997 administrational reformation. The city of Fès, capital of the region, is a 90-minute drive from the western Moroccan coast. Two major land formations shape this region: * The Atlasian domain which is the place where the main rivers of the region stem from. * The Mesetian domain of the High Plateaus which is geographically isolated in the interior of the regional territory.
