Spacious, bright, elegant home for a family or for summer vacation/rental - even a bed and breakfast! Tennis court, large property with field, pond, abundant water supply and a carriage house/garage.
We have lived here and vacationed here for many years - and hate to sell! But our family has moved away and we have to move on in our lives.
This is a lovely place to live and vacation and this house needs a loving hand. The kitchen gives out onto the back yard and needs remodelling - a patio would be great extension to the kitchen. In summer we spend most of our time under the dogwood tree with guests or a book or with our binoculars watching the birds.
We have built an 8 foot deep foundation for a 40 foot long extension of the verandah at the front of the house - a project awaiting completion.
There is a large artistic community in Bear River. The Flight of Fancy, downtown, is second to none in offering great works by artists and artisans. We also have a very good restaurant, Changing Tides and other interesting shops.
We are up on a hill in the village dubbed The Switzerland of Nova Scotia. We have many pine trees on our property. There is great potential to develop the four acres behind the house as it has a right-of-way to the main road. We hope you will come to see the house!
