| This is a "place in the sun"... quaint village life, beautiful beaches, All water sports, especially diving with the many historical wrecks, one, HMS Hazardous which sunk in 1706 is just 500 yards or so from the rear of “Greenwaves” private beach, Major windsurfing competitions are held in Bracklesham and Wittering.
The whole coastline is a wildlife and beach conservation area.
Everything is as you would image a seaside home to be and yet is only I hour to London So you can work in the city and come home to a different world, complete with own private beach.
This beautiful house was our family home until the accident and we have brought up all our children, who are now proficient surfer boarders!! but more than that is they enjoyed a quality of life where you cycle to the village, go swimming after school, where there is a village community with real local shops, the butcher, the bakers, the fishmonger, Ironmonger, the grocer, Even an old fashioned candy shop.
The nearby city of Chichester offers the more entertainment and shopping facilities, with a multiplex cinema, Bowling centres, swimming pools, health and sports centres and loads of restaurant and pubs. This Historical Walled city has a pedestrian centre with a magnificent cathedral. Here they hold French markets and farmers markets all held in the street and many events and festivals, in near by Goodwood, The House and grounds where they hold annually The Festival of Speed, and Glorious Goodwood Horse Racing and Goodwood Airfield.
There are many good schools throughout the area and from Chichester Station you can be in London in just an hour; by road you can get to Gatwick is 45 minutes Surrey and London in an hour.
Going in the other direction is the Portsmouth and the historical Dockyard, GunWhaf Quays and just a bit further is Southampton with it huge shopping complexes health and sports centres and also have enjoyed the very best childhood but also enjoyed village life and a privileged life of seaside living, the lovely Sussex countryside and almost a life that was in a time warp but good one. |
