This 280 square meter, 2 storey villa is situated in the green area of the 2nd district, in the neighborhood of a nature reservation. It was designed by Dezső Zrumeczky (the genius architect of the beginning of the 20th century) for the celebrated authoress, Cecile Tormay.
The architect also designed so significant premises as several buildings of the Budapest Zoo, and the well-known Gundel Restaurant.
The villa was built in 1911 in the style of Hungarian Secession characterized by special Hungarian and Transylvanian ornaments. It is characterized by huge windows and spacious rooms.
The villa lies in beautiful surroundings, in an intimate, calm, picturesque milieu, where you can feel the spirit of the early 20th century. You can take walks between ancient trees in the 2140 square meter garden.
The building needs total renovation inside and outside as well, and it can be restored to the original stage. Now the villa consists of 4 apartments altogether with 9 rooms and 3 bathrooms.
