Area Information
Schwerin is the capital town of the German county Mecklenburg Vorpommern, which is known as the holiday and wellness county because of it's many lakes, spas and seaside resorts. There are 7 lakes in Schwerin, including the beautiful and natural Ostorfer Lake, which this flat has commanding views over. Schwerin is currently undergoing a huge revamp to prepare for the national garden show (BUGA) in 2009. In particular the castle gardens are being extended with new 'floating' garden, which begins at the end of the road, and a new promonade which goes along the lake side past the castle.
