THE BISHOP’S MILL IN PECS

This wonderful house is fascinating whit its one meter thick walls. It was built two hundred years ago, but it is in a very good condition. Here was the mill of the bishop of Pécs, because a little stream runs in front of the house. The environment is like the building: nice, orderly, quiet. With some minutes walk we arrive to the citycentre, where we can find numerous ancient buildings and monuments.

House description:
The house was built around 1800, it was the mill of the bishop, therefore the structure of the building is very good. The machines were on the 60 m² large attic, where a new apartment can be build. The thick of walls are 1 m downstairs and 0,8 meter upstairs, the insulation is perfect-there is no needed climate equipment in summer, and the costs of heating is minimal in winter. The court is relative large, the numerous plants, the little oven, the stream running front of the house, the lovelly wrought iron fence and little gate with the ancient building charm the visitors. Trough a long passage can we arrive to the apartment downstairs. There are a wine cellar and a service room left, a little vestibule is end of the passage. The downstairs apartment with two rooms, kitchen and bathroom opens from here. We can find two separeted apartments upstairs, which can be easilly fuse. Trough a long passage can we arrive to the apartment upstairs. The way up to the attic opens from here. This is a little vestibule end of the passage – from here open two rooms, bathroom, chamber. The third apartment contains two rooms and a bathroom.
