The Costa Tropical is just 30 min drive from Lanjaron, where the most popular beaches are Salobrena, Almunecar and La Herradura, which is popular for snorkelling and diving.

Skiing
An hours easy drive will bring you to the most southerly ski slopes in Europe. The season at the Sol y Nieve (Sun and Snow) resort is long and runs from November to May, providing good skiing for beginners, intermediates and advanced. You can buy monthly, weekly, full day or just half day passes, and English speaking instructors can be booked for lessons. The slopes are usually less crowded than those in France and Italy, although the resort is becoming more popular. |
