Funicular-like lift is a kiddy treat- a fun surreal glass capsule evoking the subterranean that jerks forward for a smooth ride up. The penthouse, with the condominium pool tucked in the corner is an inspiring apartment that lives up to the development's name. The design of the unit fully exploits the views of the bay, with 180 degree views afforded by the full height glass windows. A feeling of expanse, spaciousness and high style pervades upon stepping into the lift lobby. The modernistic tone for the apartment is set from the lift lobby- with industrial looking stainless steel votive holders, edgy steel bars forming an aesthetic display and dark granite slabs forming a faux pathway towards the door.
Inside the apartment itself, amongst the first things that strike you is a most inspiring view of the bay. A balcony that stretches from the living room to the bedrooms and toilet allows for plenty of outdoor space. The glass windows serve the double function of exploiting the views as well as allowing plenty of natural light in, creating a feeling of expanse and spaciousness.
The entrance to the kitchen is heralded by a modern, minimalist bar counter. Kitchen is of stainless steel and aesthetic dark wood cabinets. Cool contraptions abound-mostly in stainless steel; from the cool blue refrigerator, the stainless steel holders for spices to the Alessi juice extractor.
The master bedroom is a treat for the senses- from the wallpapered wall panel, a small balcony that stretched from the living room. The organic theme to the apartment is complemented by the present tenants' choice of furniture- a low four poster bed, rattan wall feature and clean cotton curtains flanking the edges of the poster bed.
The toilets are testament to the two running themes in the apartment- clean modern lines and the feeling of space created through the use of glass and full height glass windows. Comes with a rain shower and opens up to lush greenery views, with the same balcony that stretched through from the living room.
Leaving the unit, one notices the gorgeous play of stainless steel in the form of the security combination lock against the dark wood Asian themed lattice work.
